My First top down Sweater

This class meets three times. You will learn the skills you eed to knit this top down and in the round sweater in a child's size so that you can accomplish the sweater within the time of the class. You will then be able to transfer those skills to an adult sweater.
You will be working with the Yankee Knitter pattern #37 by Melinda Goodfellow.
This is the child’s top down seamless version of the ever popular straight needle “Roll Raglan” pullover. It is a classic raglan pullover, knit seamless from the neck down. The simple design and roll edges looks great in any worsted wt yarn.
The neck is easily shaped using increases and cast on sts and there are No Short Rows. The raglan increases are M1R, M1L which is very nice looking and makes the raglan shaping stand out.
Construction;
- Shape the neck.
- Knit the yoke.
- Slip sleeves to scrap yarn and knit body.
- Slip sleeve sts to DPN and knit sleeves.
- Pick up sts around neck and knit neck.
