Knitting Classes

 

·        Registration is required for all classes. A non-refundable $25 deposit is necessary to hold your seat. Materials must be purchased at Northampton Wools.

Six Weeks of Knitting Fun    $95

The following classes meet for six weeks, for 2 hours each week. Students will receive a 10% discount on materials purchased for the class. Classes are based on sweater construction, but each student is working on a project of their choice.

WORKSHOPS

February 20 (President’s Day) 1pm-3pm Multi Mittens  

2 color mittens with a corrugated rib keep your hands warm and toasty. $25

Yowl Cowl 3pm-5pm $25

A simple cowl done in a faggoting stitch in a glitzy yarn.

February 11^th Those Darn Socks! 3pm-5pm

This is the class for learning to fix those holes in your favorite, but worn out socks. $25

February 11^th Earflap Hat 1pm-3pm

Learn to Knit in 3 Hours!!

Never picked up a needle or knit before but have always wanted to learn? This three hour class is perfect for getting your toes wet. You will learn the basics of knitting. How to cast on, knit, purl a few pattern stitches and bind off. By the end of class you will be on your way to creating your first scarf!

February 19^th 2 Color 2 Hand Hat 1pm-3pm

Learn to knit with 2 colors- one in each hand- while you knit a hat. $25            

February 19^th Drop Stitch Shawl 2pm-4pm

Bonnie’s interpretation of this pattern makes an impressive shawl. $25

February 25^th Crochet on Knits 1pm-3pm

How to put a crochet edge on top of a knit fabric the easy way. $25

March 1^st, 8, 15, 22^nd April 19^th and 26^th 6 Week Technique Class 7pm -9pm

Custom fit jackets- this class will be based on the Jean Frost book and will show you how to get the perfect fit in a very classic style. $95

March 3^rd Learn to Crochet a Hat 10am-12pm

Crochet for beginners- make a basic hat. $25

March 10^th Socks on Double Pointed Needles 2pm-5pm

Learn to knit socks the classic way- some homework is required before the class meets. $25

 

Cape Cod Knitting Weekend:

Join us for a weekend of knitting fun and friendship. This year’s trip will be on March 23, 24, 25 at the Ambassador Inn in Yarmouth. On Friday night we will visit with Frog Tree Yarns and get a private tour of their wharehouse. Saturday’s class will be all about entrelac – in the afternoon you will start your entrelac project. Saturday night is all about relaxing with knitting and martinis. Sunday morning class will finish up and you are then free to enjoy the pool or sauna. The cost of the class is $100 and the rooms are $70 per night. (So if you share a room it will only cost $70 for the week end.) Call to register by February 20 so that we can ensure your spot.
