Knitters and Nurses in England

Join Kathy Duffy and Linda Daniels on an adventure in England. From June 14 through June 24,2012; explore the magic of the Cotswolds and the Yorkshire Dales as we travel through some of the most beautiful and historic sites in England.

We will be touring London, Snowshill Lavender Farm, Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Bath, Cotswold Perfumery, Cotswold Woollen Weavers, the Beatrix Potter Experience and the James Herriot Museum.

This trip will be filled with gardens, essential oils, knitting needles and yarn, magical sites and food! You do not need to be a knitter, and you do not need to be a nurse to participate in this expedition. Kathy and Linda are ready to make this trip unforgettable no matter what your background.

The flight leaves from Hartford, lands in London, where we will spend the first 3 nights. This will give everyone a chance to participate in all the London sights, smells and events, including authentic fish and chips. We are arranging afternoon tea at Liberty of London and of course a tour of Windsor Castle. There may not be a wedding but perhaps there will be a baby!

From London we will travel by coach to Stratford-Upon-Avon which will serve as a base for the next 2 days. From there we will visit Filkins, Broadway,Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Cirencester. Plan on lots of shopping in quaint craftsmen’s shops.

Windemere is the next stop and this brings us to the worldof All Creatures Great and Small. The beauty of the country side will take your breath away. York is the last stop on this journey and after our two days there we fly from Manchester to Hartford.

Ten days and nine nights, most breakfasts and most dinners are included. There is a $500 single supplement fee. The trip size is limited to 24 people. Although the final cost is not yet determined it looks as though it will be about $3500. I will post that as soon as we get a flight price.
