Spring Workshops & Classes

*Moebius Scarf $25

Start the spring with some magical knitting. Cat Borhdi’s Moebius cast on will have you knitting these dynamic scarves for your best friends to help fight this winter’s chill winds, or jazz up a new spring outfit. Amaze yourself with this creative and inventive technique.

Materials: 47” size 10 ½ needles, bulky weight yarn.

March 1^st 1-3 pm Saturday

*Learn To Knit in Three Hours $25

Learn the basics of knitting and impress your friends with your new found skill. Learn to cast on, knit, purl and bind off all in three short hours. We can teach anyone with the desire to learn everything they need to know to knit a scarf. We will give you several simple scarf patterns and at the end of three hours you’ll be knitting on your first scarf.

Materials: 1 pair 10 ½ needles, 1 skein bulky weight yarn

April 21^st 3-6pm

*Knit Mittens $30

Get ready for next winter’s chill by learning to make a cozy pair of mittens in your favorite colors. This three-hour workshop will take you through the making of a complete bulky weight mitten. Learn to knit on double pointed needles, how to increase, decrease and how to prevent the dreaded thumbholes while you conquer basic mitten construction.

Materials: Size 10 double pointed needles, 1 skein of bulky weight wool

March 14^th 3-6pm Friday

*Magic Loop Socks $75

Find out about the newest knitting technique to hit knitting needles. Decker will show you how to turn any sock pattern into an easy to make sock using just one circular needle. After this class your needles will be flying as you create sock after sock with no free of falling stitches or dropped rows. Price includes needle and instruction book, but not yarn.

March 1, 1-2pm; March 8, 1-3pm; March 15, 1-2pm Saturday This class requires all three dates.

*Two Color Two Hand Hat $25

Master this technique of knitting with two colors while holding one color in each hand. Linda Daniels has designed a simple hat pattern to teach traditional Fair Isle knitting in a painless fashion. This is the perfect way to learn how to do color work and complete a small but interesting project at the same time.

Materials- 16” circular needle size 8, 2 skeins of worsted weight wool in 1 dark and 1 light color.

March 8^th 2-4pm

*Booties in an hour $25

There’s nothing cuter than a little pair of booties made with love. If there is a neww addition showing up in life then this short workshop will help you greet the new one with warm and cozy toes. Some basic knitting skills are required, but mostly you just need desire.

March 15^th 2-3:30PM Saturday

*Design a Hat $30

Knitting a hat on circular needles is one of the easiest things to do, as long as the casting on is correct, and the joining doesn’t twist, and it fits the head it was meant for. Let us show you how to avoid all the potential mistakes as we show you how to design and size some basic headgear. Free yourself from hat patterns that don’t give you enough instruction and every hat you make will be a keeper.

March 22^ND 2-4PM Saturday

*Felted Flowers $30

Every one needs some flowers in their life and your knitting is no exception. Explore the world of Nicki Epstien’s felted flowers and use up many of the little balls of yarn from your stash. You’ll want more stash as your creative juices start to flow. Basic knitting skills required.

April 21^st 12-2pm Monday Patriots Day

*Mitered Felted Bag $30

Enter the mitered knitting world at your own risk. Miters are addictive and it is hard to stop once you have conquered the technique. This bag class will get you going on your miter adventure and you’ll have a great little bag to pack your stuff in.

April 5^th , 12^th ,19^th from 12-1pm Saturday

****SIX WEEKS OF KNTTING FUN****

Join one of our six week knitting classes and have fun knitting! These classes are based on sweater construction and take you step by step through the entire process. Along the way you will learn skills. Brush the dust off your old techniques as you discover new simple ways to give your knitting that expertly done look. You might even make new friends and discover that your love of knitting makes you part of a very special group of people. $75 plus a 10% discount on supplies
