The DH turns 60 and you get the present!

100_3726.jpg

How is it possible that my DH is turning 60 in a few more days? Neither one of us can believe it, but there it is. He still makes my heart go bump- and he cleans up pretty good, right?

This is too big a birthday to go unnoticed so we have decided to celebrate with all our friends by having the biggest sale ever in the history Northampton  Wools.

100_1536.jpg

On Saturday, June 19th from 10am until 5pm we will mark specific yarns down by 60%. These special yarns will be in baskets on the floor and table in the store. These are not our regular sale baskets. These are yarns that we have decided to pull from the shelves and support with inventory from the cellar.

                 000_0020.jpg  100_1532.jpg

Mark your calendar and pull out those patterns you have been saving for just the right yarn. Bring them in on Saturday- ONE DAY ONLY- and get 60% off select yarns in baskets.

Because of the huge discounts on these yarns all sales are final and there are no returns allowed.

Plan on being at Northampton Wools early to get the best selection.

Happy Shopping,

Linda

Plymouth Yarn Company Calls Linda Daniels to Desgin Fall Fashion

Look at the new sweater designs that Linda has done for Plymouth Yarns. The pamphlet is a collection of six patterns for only $6.00. Each of the designs features one of the Bristol yarns. Try your hand at Fair Isle with this traditonal yoke pullover. The sweater is knit with the new dk weight yarn called Ashton. The yarn is a wool and alpaca blend that has one of the smoothest hands out there.

100_12742.jpg

This cabled sweater is done in Bristol Yarns King George; a worsted weight wool/alpaca blend that is so soft you will want to curl up in it.

This is just a sample of the sweaters in the collection. They will be on display until Nov 1, then off they go to another store. It is fun to think of my knitting visiting all the other yarn stores all across the country.

The best time of year is fall in New England. Everyone is looking for a new knitting project now tha the garden is put to bed. This year I think knitter’s will try even harder to knit gifts for the ones they love. Who wouldn’t covet a warm pair of wool socks in bright and fun colors, or a set of fingerless mitts to help keep the chill away as we all lower the thermostats? Everyone on my list is getting fingerless mitts, even the boys. I know they will appreciate them in the long run.

We are now open on Sundays from 1-5pm. Tell your knitting buddies that they will now be able to get their knitting fix even on Sunday afternoon. Check out the workshop schedule too, because we have a lot of classes planned for these beautiful autumn Sundays.

Keep those needles clicking, Linda
